QARMAN CubeSat

Led by the Von Karman Institute, Belgium, QARMAN is a 3-unit CubeSat mission to demonstrate reentry technologies, particularly novel heatshield materials, new passive aerodynamic drag and attitude stabilisation systems, and the transmission of telemetry data during reentry via data relay satellites in low-Earth orbit, due to be launched in 2016 as part of the European Commission's QB50 flight.
