Orlan spacesuit on Space Station

Russian Orlan spacesuit on the International Space Station in storage waiting for an astronaut to wear it for a spacewalk. ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst took this picture and commented: “To put on this space suit takes only a few minutes – you just climb in the back.”

Alexander did his own spacewalk together with NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman on 7 October 2014 to maintain and improve the International Space Station.
