Mittelbergferner glacier

The Mittelbergferner glacier in the Austrian Alps was the site of an Earth observation field campaign to investigate the potential of ESA’s new Saocom-CS mission concept. It is proposed that Saocom-CS would fly in formation with the Argentinian Saocom-1b satellite, capturing its radar echoes as they are reflected from Earth’s surface.
