Novel SAT-AIS Receiver

On 9 July 2015, two Novel SAT-AIS Receivers (NAIS) built by Kongsberg Seatex AS with the support of ESA’s Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems (ARTES) programme were delivered to the Norwegian Space Centre for integration with the Norsat-1 satellite. This will improve the identification and tracking of ships anywhere on the sea.
