Triplelux tubes in space

Tubes that are part of the Tripelux experiment on the International Space Station during ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti Futura mission in 2015.

Samantha commented “two fixation tubes ready for cold stowage at –98 degrees C in our MELFI freezer!”

Triplelux aims to understand the negative mechanisms at a cellular level by clearly separating the effects of microgravity from other factors in spaceflight.
