ExoMars 2016 – mating to Proton

The ExoMars 2016 spacecraft and the Breeze-M upper stage are mated to the Proton rocket that will carry them into space on the first step of the journey to Mars.

The image was taken 5 March at the Baikonur cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, ahead of the planned launch on 14 March.
