Go to topicESA and the SESAR Joint Undertaking signed a memorandum of cooperation on 15 September 2016 to work more closely in the modernisation of air traffic management through satellite-based communications.
The memorandum of cooperation will foster even closer ties between their respective technical programmes and align key milestones.
ESA’s Iris programme is part of the long-term modernisation of air traffic management through air–ground communication via satellite as part of Europe’s greater plan to make our skies safer.
