BepiColombo solar wing deployment test

Deployment of the solar wing attached to ESA’s Mercury Planetary Orbiter of the BepiColombo mission.

This test was carried out at ESA’s technical centre in the Netherlands last month, prior to its launch in October 2018. The panels are supported from above to simulate the weightlessness of space.
