Simulated Itokawa asteroid

A simulated view of the Itokawa asteroid, produced using ESA’s new generation ‘Planetary and Asteroid Natural scene Generation Utility’ or Pangu software, developed for the Agency by the University of Dundee in Scotland. This rubble-pile asteroid was surveyed by Japan's Hayabusa spacecraft in 2005.
