Cybele, short for Cyber Environmental Law Enforcement, was announced as the overall winner at the Copernicus Masters Awards Ceremony, held on 4 December 2018 in Marseille, France. Using Copernicus Sentinel satellite data, this online application provides quick access to environmental crime reports for law firms and insurance companies.
Presenting the award, ESA’s Director of Earth Observation Programmes, Josef Aschbacher (right), said, "Cybele demonstrates its potential by using data from all active Copernicus Sentinels to optimise the management of legal environmental cases."
