Microscopic view of cracked solder joint following completion of vibration and thermal cycling testing in compliance with the European Coordination on Space Standardization regulation ECSS-Q-ST-70-38C. The joint cracked due to an excess of solder in between the package and the termination, leading it to stiffen.
