The European Commission’s Deputy Director General for Research and Innovation, Patrick Child, (right) and ESA’s Director of Earth Observation Programmes at ESA’s Living Planet Symposium discuss their institutions’ common goal of working together to advance Earth-system science. The EC’s Horizon Europe and ESA’s Future Earth Observation (FutureEO) programmes both aim to provide concrete contributions to address environmental challenges.
