Heck cattle, Oostvadersplassen

The Oostvadersplassen is a nature reserve close to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Covering 56 sq km, this polder was created in 1968 as a haven for birds, but large herbivores were later introduced to reduced shrub cover.
