Mission Alpha
En 2021, Thomas retourne à bord de la Station spatiale internationale pour une seconde mission qui porte le nom « Alpha », d’après l’étoile Alpha Centauri, située dans le même système que Proxima.
Thomas sera le premier Européen à quitter la Terre à bord du Crew Dragon de SpaceX qui décolle de Floride, aux États-Unis. L’équipage de quatre se compose des astronautes de la NASA Megan McArthur et Shane Kimbrough, ainsi que de l’astronaute de la JAXA Aki Hoshide.
Alpha Mission
In 2021, Thomas Pesquet is returning to the International Space Station for a second mission called Alpha, named after Alpha Centauri, a star located in the same system as Proxima.
Thomas will be the first European to leave Earth on the SpaceX Crew Dragon to be launched from Florida, USA. The crew of four includes NASA astronauts Megan McArthur and Shane Kimbrough, as well as JAXA astronaut Aki Hoshide.
