Andrea Milani

Mathematican and astronomer Andrea Milani served as professor of mathematics at Pisa University until his untimely death in 2018. He began Europe’s asteroid risk monitoring system and came up with the original concept inspiring Hera and NASA’s DART – a double spacecraft mission for planetary defence.
