Views from the Cupola
“We temporarily tilted the Space Station by 90 degrees to allow for the docking of a new module — a pretty impressive maneuver for such a giant ship! It gave us some new views from our observatory, the Cupola. Instead of looking straight down at Earth, we were looking out at the horizon.”

« Nous avons incliné temporairement la Station spatiale internationale de 90° pour faciliter l’amarrage d’un nouveau module — une manœuvre pas tout à fait anodine pour un aussi gros vaisseau ! J’en ai profité pour photographier la courbure de la Terre sous cette nouvelle perspective depuis la pièce avec vue de la Station, la Cupola .»
