Saarlandish spoon in orbit

ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer holds a laser-structured, anti-microbial spoon developed by Saarland University, European School of Materials (EUSMAT) and Material Engineering Center Saarland (MECS). This spoon is part of an investigation into the antimicrobial properties of laser-structured surfaces.
