EarthCARE in testing

ESA’s cloud and aerosol mission, EarthCARE, during testing at ESA’s ESTEC Test Centre in the Netherlands. Carrying four different instruments, the satellite has been designed to answer some critical scientific questions about the role that clouds and aerosols play in reflecting incident solar radiation back out to space and trapping infrared radiation emitted from Earth’s surface.
