Europe and the International Space Station

The Space Station offers unique opportunities to observe our planet, carry out research in space and prepare for human exploration of the Solar System.

ESA is continuing to run research on the International Space Station while building the hardware to explore farther afield. European Service Modules will power NASA’s Orion spacecraft to carry astronauts on Artemis missions to the lunar Gateway and the Moon.
