The Roman mission in the context of previous and future space missions dedicated to exoplanet science (top) and exoplanet-sensitive missions (bottom).
The Nancy Grace Roman space telescope, a NASA-led observatory, is designed to explore dark energy and dark matter, search for exoplanets, and investigate many topics in infrared astrophysics. In terms of exoplanet research it will survey a complete sample of Milky Way exoplanets, and will pioneer direct imaging of other worlds.
