Barbara Grandeclaude and friends Emilie and Julie created this mocktail with flair to capture the spirit of Juice’s journey in the preparation of the drink and in this beautiful video production. The Ariane 5 launcher’s fuel tanks are first filled with coconut milk and egg white, shaken together for lift off. A blue spherical ice cube floating in non-alcoholic blue curaçao syrup and tonic represents departure from Earth. Flybys are represented by a swirly straw. Arrival at Jupiter is represented by a caramelised orange slice garnish. Finally, the discovery of the icy moons is seen with the white foamy topping.
Recipe:
-Preparation: Freeze a spherical ice cube with water and blue food colouring, and add to glass once ready
-Fill glass with 5 cl blue curaçao sirup (non-alcoholic) and top up with tonic water
-Shake 10 cl of coconut milk with some egg white in a cocktail shaker and pour carefully on top of the liquid
-Garnish with a caramelised orange slice with sugar, and a swirly straw
Judge's tip: Enjoy this drink as soon as it's made.
