The Subaru Telescope is an 8.2-metre optical-infrared telescope at the summit of Maunakea, Hawaii, operated by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ).
In 2022 the Subaru Telescope was used to image a gigantic exoplanet based on date from ESA's star-mapping Gaia mission. This world was the first confirmed exoplanet found by Gaia’s ability to sense the gravitational tug or ‘wobble’ a planet induces on its star.
