Ariane 4 V22

Launch of Ariane 4 V22 on 15 June 1988 from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, carrying Meteosat-3, PAS (PAN AM SAT) 1 and Amsat P3C.

Ariane 4 was justly known as the ‘workhorse’ of the Ariane family. Since its first flight, it made over 100 successful launches. The Ariane 4 proved ideal for launching satellites for communications and Earth observation, as well as for scientific research.
