Euclid spotted from the ground

The Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope captured images of Euclid travelling to L2, at a distance of about 920 000 km from Earth. The trail of the spacecraft moving in front of the background stars can be seen in this sequence of 26 exposures (of 3 minutes each), in the field of view of the 3.6 m telescope on top of Mauna Kea (Hawaii).
