Hvordan går man på toilettet på den Internationale Rumstation? Det er ikke lige som på Jorden, men det er tæt på. Ved at bruge poser, en ventilator og fod- og håndgreb, er det muligt for astronauter at gå på toilettet selvom de er i vægtløs tilstand.
Urinen bliver behandlet og genanvendt til drikkevand mest fast afføring bliver vakuumtøret, komprimeret og opbevaret i lufttætte beholdere som bliver placeret i forsyningsfartøjer. Alt affald bliver brændt op i Jordens atmosfære.
