Space transportation​

Space Transportation gives Europe access to Earth orbit and our Solar System. Europe’s rockets launch missions that benefit our daily lives – think telecommunications, navigation, science, exploration and Earth observation - as well as space safety. New uses of space are transforming our world, with a growing commercial sector and new industrial actors eager to deliver launch services, increasingly sophisticated orbital operations and even satellite servicing. With its Ariane and Vega family of launch vehicles flying from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana, ESA ensures Europe’s independent access to space.​
