Training Φsat-2’s autonomous vessel awareness application

This application runs onboard Φsat-2 and makes use of machine learning techniques, in particular deep learning, to autonomously detect and classify marine vessels based on the images acquired through the satellite’s multispectral camera. The image shows a typical output of the application.
