Classifying areas affected by wildfires

One of the winning apps in the Φsat-2 OrbitalAI Challenge was PhiFire AI from Thales Alenia Space in Italy.

The tool provides a classification report that identifies wildfires and nearby safe, burnt and water areas. Testing on data from the Copernicus European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS) demonstrated that the app’s model was able to distinguish each of these classes of terrain.
