The Sentinel-2C launch campaign team at Europe's Spaceport prepares to open the container lid that kept the satellite safe during its two-week journey from Europe. Sentinel-2C, the third Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite, is currently being readied for its liftoff on the final Vega rocket in September 2024.
The Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission provides particularly useful information for a wide range of applications, including precision farming, water quality monitoring, natural disaster management and methane emissions detection.
