Just a month after its launch, ESA’s Arctic Weather Satellite has already delivered its first images, some of which show a storm over Côte d'Ivoire on 27 August 2024, when the satellite’s instrument had been turned on for the first time. Remarkably, it captured a storm over Côte d'Ivoire in West Africa.
These data, which use measurements from different altitudes have been overlaid on an image of the same storm from the first geostationary Meteosat Third Generation Imager satellite.
