Go to topicFunctional testing is ongoing at Europe’s Spaceport for the upcoming launch of the Copernicus Sentinel-1C satellite in December. The Automated Identification System (AIS) antennas, which were temporarily removed to protect them from potential damage during transport, have been fully remounted on the spacecraft to be tested.
The third satellite of the Copernicus Sentinel-1 mission will continue the critical task of delivering key radar imagery of Earth’s surface for a wide range of Copernicus services and scientific applications.
