Isar Aerospace Spectrum launch vehicle during fit check.
With its Boost! programme, ESA is boosting commercial initiatives that offer transportation services to space, in space, and returning from space. The programme also supports Member States implementing national objectives for spaceports, testing facilities and more.
Boost! co-funding awarded in November 2024 will allow Isar Aerospace to focus on completing their test campaign preparing their Spectrum rocket’s first test flight. Moreover, ESA's support will follow steps preparing the second test flight of the Spectrum rocket and scaling-up of production facilities at the company’s new headquarters in Vaterstetten, Germany.
Isar Aerospace’s two-stage launch vehicle Spectrum will be around 28 m tall, 2 m in diameter and its ten engines will launch payloads of up to 1000 kg to low Earth orbit.
