IXV, the Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle, will be launched by Vega before the end of 2014 from Europe's Spaceport in Kourou.
This ESA project objectives tackle the basic European needs for reentry from Low Earth Orbit, consolidating the knowledge necessary for the development of any future European reentry system while allowing risk limitation.
IXV is currently being prepared in Torino, Italy.
