Jan Woerner, Director General of the European Space Agency, has a bold new vision for space exploration: building a permanent base station on the Moon, he likes to call a "Moon Village".
But I will not be a village with houses around a main street but a technological and scientific human presence on the moon.
It would represent a giant leap in space exploration, following and enlarging the current cooperation on the International Space Station as a global project.
In this video Jan Woerner explains his idea for what he sees as an open station, for different member states and also different states around the globe.
