ESA French astronaut Thomas Pesquet is planned to be launched to the International Space Station in the early morning of 16 November, along with NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson and Roscosmos commander Oleg Novitsky.
This month of October they went through a busy schedule at Star City near Moscow, passing different test with manual reentry exam, piloting the craft back to Earth safely in a simulation.
Thomas is the flight engineer, sitting on the left of commander Oleg and acting as co-pilot for launch and return.
Last 13 October the trio enacted several rendezvous and docking with the Space Station in the Soyuz simulator.
This video shows these days of training in Star City with an interview of Thomas in English (A and B-Roll) and in French (B-Roll) and presents this new ESA Long Duration Mission.
