This video, in A and B-roll format introduces ESA's Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) based at its technical headquarters, ESTEC, in the Netherlands. The CDF allows ESA specialists working in different areas of spacecraft design -mechanical, electrical and software- to convene, and coordinate the conceptual design process, within one facility. New on-line technology allows increased cooperation between specialists, speeding up the process of space mission design.
The A-roll contains an interview with Massimo Bandecchi, CDF Project Manager.
B-roll footage provides footage of old design facilities, ESTEC; gvs' interior CDF, ESTEC; i/v with Massimo Bandecchi (English).
