The final mission for space shuttle vehicle "Discovery" is due for launch this Thursday, 24 February. Though no European astronauts will be on board, this STS-133 Mission - as NASA designates it - will carry an important element from Europe in Discovery's cargo bay. Leonardo, the European-built multi-purpose logistics module, or MPLM, has been modified at NASA's Kennedy Space Centre. This time it will become permanently attached to the orbital outpost.
