European Space Agency is willing to develop new services that meet actual needs in many domains by integrating different satellite applications. To support demining ESA was asked to develop services to improve the efficiency of setting mine action priorities, risk assessment and demining. By complementing existing mine action techniques, with imagery from Earth Observation and Satellite Navigation, resources can be put where they are most needed. What ESA calls integrated applications combines existing techniques to make a brand-new approach to demining.
