Space-based land use and crop mapping derived from Envisat radar imagery acquired over the Mekong River Basin: February–December 2011.
Light blue areas depict rice fields while dark blue correspond to water or flooded areas. Orange and yellow represent dry areas, such as vegetation and buildings. Further to land use and crop mapping information, the time series also illustrates the impact of a flooding event affecting the area from August onwards.
