The ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Flanders opened 14 December 2012. It is located in Geel, Belgium, and is managed by Innotek. ESA BIC Flanders has teamed up with the renowned Flemish research institutions VITO, SCK•CEN and IMEC to act as technical partner in addition to ESA. The scientific expertise of these institutions complement the start-ups’ technical development in the fields of electronics, nanotechnology, telecommunications, navigation systems, nuclear science, bio-engineering, radiology, life science and Earth observation.
