Sentinel-2 carries an innovative high-resolution multispectral instrument with 13 bands that work in three different resolutions: four bands at 10 m, six bands at 20 m and three bands at 60 m. The combination of the imager, its wide swath of 290 km and the satellite’s frequent revisit times provide unprecedented views of Earth’s land and vegetation.
