Enda Kenny, Ireland’s Taoiseach prime minister and His Excellency John Neary, Ireland’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, were welcomed to ESA’s ESTEC technical centre in Noordwijk by ESA Director General Jan Wörner and ESTEC Director Franco Ongaro on 6 January 2016.
Those accompanying the Taoiseach and Ambassador Neary on the Wednesday afternoon visit included the Head of Ireland’s ESA Delegation Michael Davitt, the Head of ESA’s Dutch Delegation Fritz van Meijenfeldt and the CEO of Enterprise Ireland Julie Sinnamon.
The visit included the signing of a deal to bring an ESA Business Incubation Centre and presentations by leading Irish space companies, as well as an opportunity to meet Irish staff and contractors.
