Tropomi unfolds

The Copernicus Sentinel-5P satellite carries the Tropomi spectrometer to map the global atmosphere every day with a resolution as high as 7 km × 3.5 km. Once the satellite is in orbit, a process is carried out to decontaminate the instrument. This takes a few weeks and once completed the radiant cooler cover is opened.
