Set to launch in May 2024, ESA’s EarthCARE satellite is a groundbreaking satellite mission designed to unravel the mysteries of how clouds and aerosols affect Earth's climate. Equipped with four state-of-the-art instruments, it marks the first time these innovations are combined on a single satellite platform.
EarthCARE is the largest and most complex of ESA’s Earth Explorer missions – missions that return key scientific information that advances our understanding of how planet Earth works as a system and the impact that humans are having on natural processes.
