The video shows the first Meteosat Third Generation Sounder (MTG-S1) satellite being equipped with its main instrument, an infrared sounder, at OHB’s facilities in Germany.

Working alongside its MTG-I1 partner satellite, the MTG-S1 will improve atmospheric observations for weather forecasting. The MTG-S1 satellite also carries the Copernicus Sentinel-4, an ultraviolet, visible, near-infrared light spectrometer, or UVN for short, to monitor air pollution.
