With the advent of the International Space Station, long-term space mission will become the routine for most astronauts in space. Whilst arriving in zero gravity poses mainly physiological challenges, a mission of several months requires also psychological strengths and team-player capabilities. Three ESA astronauts, Thomas Reiter, Claudie Andre-Deshray and Gerhard Thiele, have spent up to half a year on board Mir. In this video they tell the story of long-term mission into space.
