Mapping the Martian World

NASA's Mars Observer mission is due for launch in September 1992. This documentary gives an overview of this, and previous, missions to Mars and also explains objecives and expectations of Mars exploration..The whole Martian enviroment is a very important field of space science. Understanding the Red Planet's evolution and comparing it with the Earth's one is the objective of several international missions to Mars.The surface of Mars, its volcanoes and craters, its canyons, the presence of water and ice, its climate change etc. are all important elements to map the Martian World.
