Prime Contractor OroraTech aims to address the global wildfire crisis by closing gaps in thermal-infrared satellite data through the deployment of miniaturised thermal-infrared imagers in low Earth orbit. These imagers enhance current satellite data sources, providing faster and more reliable wildfire detection and monitoring, crucial for reducing wildfire-induced carbon dioxide emissions and mitigating extreme wildfire events, which account for most wildfire damage.
