Earth's atmosphere and the greenhouse gases in it make Earth an habitable planet. Without them, life as we know it would not exist. In this activity you will do an experiment to understand what the greenhouse effect is and learn with Paxi the consequences of an increasing amount of greenhouse gases.

Material: 

Activity 1
• 2 transparent jars/cups
• 2 Table spoons of soil
• Pencil / pen
• 2 thermometers ( If no thermometers are available, at the end of the experiment put your hands at the same time inside the jars to feel the difference of temperature)
• Clingfilm and 2 rubber bands
• If not sunny: lamp that radiates heat
