Galileo works
Knowing one’s position thanks to Galileo is now possible.
With only four satellites for the time being, the present Galileo constellation is visible for a maximum of two to three hours every day. But it has led, for the first time, to having a ground location using only signals from the Galileo satellites currently in orbit.
For the first time ever Europe is now able to determine a position with its own independent navigation system.
A historical milestone and a fundamental step confirming that the Galileo system is working as planned.
